More practice in painting

Well.. Looks like it's been awhile since I've uploaded anything.. I have been working on studies and stuff, but they didn't seem like much to be uploading. So let's start with last week's progress, in the order they were painted/drawn :

Starting with myy angry and thinner (according to cricits) self portrait!

Now we come to a random scribble in photoshop, which turned out to look pretty nice..

And a photo study of a random photo off the internet, the study so that I can get a better hang of digital painting..

The topic for this week's Illustration Friday challenge was "Refresh". I thought of the first thing that came to mind, chucked that out, and scribbled out the second idea.
A somewhat sad attempt at returning to watercolor comic strip experiments. Meh.

More practice with vector graphics

Had a bad time with the photography exam at college and thought creating some stuff would be better than sulking all day :/ Did these in Illustrator again after sketching them out on paper.

That was one helluva long break - 3 months? :/ And its one of those times when its hard to remember how time flew. Theory exams, final project, played some games, slept a lot and spent waay too much time browsing around I guess. Oh and I did try my hand at a job interview. And some online design contests. All of which went down the drain and led to depression. 

Now that June has arrived again (and so have the rains), the final practical exams are going on at college and I've just started teaching myself vector illustration in Adobe Illustrator. More to come!
